We especially liked their lechon because the meat was kinda lean, you only have the crispy pork skin and meat. There weren't the thick fat layers that I hate cos I don't eat pork fat so it was a really good dish. They even gave us a coupon for free Kiampong on our next visit :D
Last Sunday, I had my second anti-rabies shot at our company clinic. Afterwhich, we headed out to do some errands but not without having lunch first. So we went to my old stomping grounds and decided to eat at Chuan Kee. Its an old Chinese eatery located at the corner of Yuchengco and Ongpin Streets. I've always loved their Kiampong (salted fried rice) since I was a kid. So Myke and I ordered one for each of us and we also had siomai and their Lechon Kawali. Well needless to say, we were done eating in less than 15 minutes. Ha ha! Guess we were that hungry.

I really don't like hospitals. There's something about the white walls that makes me uncomfortable. I refrain from touching anything for fear of catching some disease. Paranoid, I know but I just don't like hospitals. Thank God I've never been (and hopefully will not be) admitted to one. The only occassions I've been to hospitals were to visit sick friends. But last Sunday, I got a taste of what it's like to be a patient. We have four dogs at home and the youngest ones, actually they're father and son, CJ and Cookie like to stay close with me whenever I'm home. And since CJ has been with me longer, he feels he deserve to have priority with my attention. Out of jealousy, he'd often snarl at Cookie whenever Cookie likes to cuddle up or sit on my lap. Last Sunday, we were watching a movie when my Dad came home with some sacks of rice for the store. CJ , Cookie and I were inside the house. Cookie, being the ignorant one, got scared on the bulky rice sacks and was stepping backwards toward where his dad, CJ was. A fight ensued but CJ had his leash on so he wasn't able to hold on to
Cookie and I, out of habit, tried to pull away CJ by grabbing his nape. He usually lets go of Cookie once I grab him and Cookie would just walk away. But that time, Cookie didn't walk away and instead kept on taunting his dad. So CJ reacted and bit my leg (instead of Cookie) which was between the two of them. I have a puncture wound on my right leg, behind the knee so we rushed to the ER at UST to get treatment. Being my first time at the ER, I was pretty calm. Even as I made the call to Myke to tell him the news, I was still making jokes and was being sarcastic. He he. Busy, busy, busy. That's what I'm probably gonna be in the next few months.
124 days! We are pretty much multi-tasking right now (or rather multi-appointments) so I might need some vitamin supplements soon for extra energy. Ha ha! Last Saturday, we hit 3 locations. First off, we dropped by Ruel's shop since I wanted to see the gowns ever since he notified me that the female entourage could now drop by for the fittings. The dresses look great. I hope my girls would like them :) Next, Myke and I went to check another prospective e-session venue, this time in the South area. We wanted to find an alternative shoot location that would be nearer our indoor venue. The place is pretty ok though it comes with a fee *sigh*. Anyway, we might be re-scheduling our e-session as there might be a lot of people around if we shoot on a weekend. So, e-session is in the works. Yay! And.. I was able to help Myke come up with his outfits for the shoot! Double yay! Hey, check out my new banner. Designed by moi :) Coming up with a design was a bit hard since I wanted something that would somehow show the things I love and would probably be blogging about. My first idea was a photo collage but searching the net for pictures was time consuming. So I opted to just have the subject topics in overlapping text. I think it suits my personality too since it's very simple with a feminine touch but it's a bit chic as well.
It's our anniversary! Well, not as husbands and wife (not yet anyway. Hi hi.) but as a couple. I can't believe it has been eight years.
Myke and I met up yesterday after office hours to shop for outfits at SM Megamall. I read from Girltalk the Nike-Adidas sale at the same mall so we decided to check it out while we were there.
Ever since "Interview with the Vampire", there wasn't much of vampire movies made until "Twilight" mania struck. And since vampires and werewolves are all the craze right now, I became a bit skeptical on horror flicks especially if they typically involve (dead or undead) men growing out fangs and claws and basically mauling some other poor, hapless guy. I must admit though that I got curious when I saw the trailer for Daybreakers.
As October approaches, Myke and I seem to be encountering some unexpected setbacks. A number of people that are now on our guest list are Chinese so we had to make adjustments, nothing major though. We might have to reconsider the invitation layout since we would be including a page for Chinese invitation. There might also be changes on our emcee. Well, we are working on it though.
