Hubby's idea of going in a diet may not be good for me..

Today, hubby had commenced his "Down to 170 lbs." trim down program.  I mentioned in a few of my posts how we like to eat and as a result, growing waistlines and increasing weight. I don't want to sound like a hypocrite but I confess that I also have tendecies to binge. Just the other day, I steamed some siomai to go with my instant pancit canton. I left half of the batch for hubby but somehow, I managed to down a few more of the tasty dumplings before I went to bed. Ugh.

Anyway, I always scold Myke whenever I catch him snacking on chocolates, cupcakes, wafers.. anything sweet actually. Nagging as I might have seemed but I was only concerned for his health. The scolding and reprimanding doesn't always work. And it was only when he checked his weight and the scale tipped to 230 that he finally decided that he should lose a bit of the love handles. I was happy to see that hubby had come to terms with the reality that the preggers looks does not work for him. Ha ha ha. I was also excited to join him on his quest of shedding a few pounds. But I don't think that he has the same idea..

When I asked him on what his "program" would be, he just said he won't be eating anything. But he did ask me to buy him some fruit juices from the grocery. So I guess he meant he'll lessen the carbs intake. And then I remembered the food in the fridge and the kitchen cabinet and  asked Myke what we'll do with it. His answer: "Ikaw na lang ang kakain niyan." .  Whaaaat?!

Just so you won't think that I'm exaggerating, here's a peek on the contents of our fridge and kitchen cabinet:

The food in the cabinet could still wait since most of them are canned goods and other condiments but the perishables in the fridge couldn't. And all that food couldn't simply be consumed by one person. If I would have to eat all of that, I might as well wear a 'Glutton' sign.

See the panda face on one of the packets inside the fridge? Myke bought those on our last grocery trip for a little shabu-shabu fare. I guess that won't be happening now. *sigh* What to do? What to do?

Even as the little panda shabu-shabu is taunting me and shouting "Eat me. Eat me!", I just could not give in. I can't. Or I just have to go head-to-head on some badminton game so I could lessen the guilt.
