First off, we got Kim Tan as our emcee. We actually already had someone lined up but we had to change because we will be having some Chinese guests. So, Myke and I decided to get someone who will be able to speak in Chinese so as not to make them feel leftout.
Kim is really bubbly and during our initial meeting, she already had some great ideas for our reception. I also recognized her as the bride who was featured at Weddings at Work for having the fire truck as a bridal car (cool!). Kim got details of our wedding and we initially drafted our programme for the reception. It's also kinda relieving to be able to speak to someone in Chinese cos I sometimes talk in Tag-nese (Tagalong+Chinese) :P Anyway, we will be setting another meeting a few weeks before THE day to finalize everything :)
I guess I kept her amused and we had a few laughs over my pitiful ignorance on the flowers.
At the closing of our meeting, I breathe a sigh of relief. We got the major suppliers booked and out of the way, so Myke and I can now focus on the invitation and documents submissions. Whew! I might need to find me some vitamin supplements to keep up with wedding preparations while juggling it with work and my social (meron pa ba?) life.
Thanks to Ricci for these recos :)
