There's only a few reality shows that I really follow - Project Runway, America's Next Top Model, Top Chef, Amazing Race, among others.  For television series, even fewer. I True Blood and Glee. I know there are a lot more others out there that is really worth watching but I'm limiting myself. Otherwise, I'd be sitting in front of the computer screen having TV series marathons every other day. :P

When I caught the teaser of Boardwalk Empire at HBO, I told myself that I'll definitely watch that. What intrigued me was the male lead, Steve Buscemi. I've seen him mostly on comedy flicks and I wanted to see if he would be able to play the part. I hadn't known then he had played a role in The Sopranos. Talk about living under a rock! Ha ha!

And then there's the setting. It was set in the roarin' 1920's - an era which I loved. I liked the dresses and the T-strap shoes, hats and headpieces.. glamorous!  So one Saturday morning, I settled myself in front of the computer and watch the first season of Boardwalk Empire :)

It's now October 9. 14 days. Read that. 14 days before the big day. And I'm here in Davao. Away from home, my Myke, my cute doggies. Away from my suppliers. Away from strenous preps.

When I was first advised that I would be sent to Cebu and Davao for 8 days, I was excited for the trip but I can't help worrying. There are some things on our list that have to be attended and I wasn't sure if our preps would still be moving along even if I'm gone. So before leaving Manila, I made a to-do list for Myke and made sure that our coordinator has been given the guest list so the RSVP broadcast could commence. I've given instructions to Ricci to assist Myke anyway he can while I'm gone.

I was a bit frantic on our first two days in Cebu, but I finally learned to let go and accept the fact that we have to make do with the little time we'll have once I get home.

Based on our conversation earlier, seems that Myke has been busy making asikaso with some of the details. I'm happy and proud of my hubby-to-be. I can't wait to get home and give him a well-deserved kiss :)

The season finale of  True Blood was shown just last Monday and I still can't believe that 12 episodes went by so fast :(  The new season won't be until next year so right now I'm sad and a bit frustrated to be left hanging. I want more, more, more!

I haven't been to the movie house much lately so I compensate by having Myke download them for me or wait for the DVD (Ugh! Agony.) So here are some flicks that are next in line for my viewing pleasure :)

Myke and I had a little R&R last Saturday although we did some wedding related chores on the side.  We headed first to the Manila Cathedral to submit some required forms and pay out the balance and some other additional fees. A quick trip to the Postal Office and then we're off to the mall :)
Side kwento: Myke's brother who is to be our  groomsman is currently working at UAE and he needed our invitation so he could show it to his boss when he asks for a leave. And because of that, sending him the invites was a priority. We first inquired at LBC for their courier service cost and we were quoted a whooping Php 2000! I was like, "WTF?!". And mind you, it wasn't a next day delivery. Sheesh!

So we headed to the Post Office and we were relieved that they have express delivery for only P480. I know that most are a bit reluctant to trust our postal service but we had to give it a shot cos the 2000 peso LBC fee isn't really practical especially since we had to allocate our budget wisely.
With some of the legwork done, we had a nice lunch at one of my fave resto, Sbarro. I usually order their ziti or spaghetti but I decided to give their Puttanesca a try.  Well, it wasn't really that good cos the sauce of my pasta was dry. The fish in marinara sauce was good though so was Myke's Angus steak deep dish pizza. He he!

I'm a Glee addict so I'm really anticipating their new season.

I've read some spoilers and sneak peeks for the second season and I was really psyched to read that they're doing a Britney Spears episode.

I've watched the first half of it but I didn't finish it until a few weeks later. I was really bored by it.  When I got to watch the second half (one which I wasn't looking forward to), I was just fast forwarding it to skip boring scenes.

What made me curious about the movie was their poster, a gun-yielding angel with some kiss-a** body ink (that rock hard abs was also a plus. Hi hi!).

I guess the poster did the trick cos I was waiting for it to be shown at the local cinemas. But due to scheduling conflicts, I never got to watch it at the theaters. Good thing that I didn't cos it would be a waste of my hard-earned bucks.

It was boring for me. The storyline was not really unfamiliar and there were a lot of questions that were formulating on my brain as I was watching it. Acting too was lousy. I don't want to expound, just see for yourself. (I'd warned you though) :P

Ever since "Interview with the Vampire", there wasn't much of vampire movies made until "Twilight" mania struck.
And since vampires and werewolves are all the craze right now, I became a bit skeptical on horror flicks especially if they typically involve (dead or undead) men growing out fangs and claws and basically mauling some other poor, hapless guy. I must admit though that I got curious when I saw the trailer for Daybreakers.

We had a long weekend cos Friday was a national holiday. I initially planned to take my mom to our couturier for her gown design and measurement but I got too lazy to go. Plus, Myke already got me Glee's season 1 episodes so I was excited to watch it.

When I first saw the TV teaser for Glee, it really caught my attention. The characters and story seemed interesting and the production numbers looked cool. But due to my schedule, I was unable to watch it on its primetime telecast and I can't seem to catch its weekend replays. But I guess that was a blessing in disguise cos I can now watch the full season in one sitting! :D

Though I was only able to watch the first 4 eps (well, what do you expect from a 2GB USB disk?), I love the show! My favorite characters are Kurt and Mercedes and I think I'm developing a teeny-bit crush on Mr. Schue (don't tell Myke!). I can't take "Gold digger" off my mind, ha ha! I can't stand his wife though. The sound of her whining wants me want to strangle her. Mr. Schue is better off with Emma.

And Sue! How could I forget Sue! The antagonist - very mean and determined to bring the Glee club down but I love her to bits. Gosh. Can't wait for my next Glee marathon.
