That's me with my baby bump at 23 weeks!

I'm happy that I've graduated from the first trimester of my pregnancy so I feel less nauseous and am now a bit more energetic. That is why I haven't been much active in blogging this past months. I'm not complaining though. Despite the challenges physically, Myke and I are both excited and eager in anticipation for our baby :)

So expect that for my entries, you'll read about our baby's development and day-today living of soon-to-be parents :) My Style Diaries might feature more of maternity fashion. But it's still the same me that you'll read about and I hope that you'd still check my site for updates.

Ciao!

My mom-in-law likes collecting recipes and knowing that I also like to cook, she often lends me whatever new recipe she's got.  The challenge for me is to cook food just enough for two. During the first few months, I always tend to cook more than what hubby and I could eat in a day. So there would be time that we will be eating the same ulam for a week. :(

But now I learned my lesson. I now buy meats and poultry in half kilos - all in separate bags. This way, I could thaw only a (half-kilo) packet that would be good of us in one or two meals. I also try to find recipes for food that could be cooked multi-ways. One such example is this recipe for burger patties.

Make your own burger :)

The first batch I cooked were made into burgers. Just sandwich the patty in a bun along with some lettuce, fresh tomato slices, cheese and a smattering of catsup and/or mayonaise.  You could play it up further with some pickes, onions, cucumber, bacon or mushrooms. Again, the combination is up to your creativity. :)

We've had some wet spell this past weekend and the cold weather had me craving for some sopas (chicken macaroni soup). I checked what we had in the pantry (which is desperately crying to be replenished already. Note to self: do some grocery shopping soon!) and was able to come up with ingredients so I could cook a simple soup. Para lang mawala ang aking pagtatakam :P

After about half an hour later, I'm digging into some creamy sopas. Rich with milk and made tasty with chicken stock. Yum!  Perfect rainy weather snack :)

While Myke and I were traversing along Ayala Ave. last week, we happen to spot this vintage car coming out of the Manila Peninsula. It had a bouquet of flowers handing on to its front hood indicating that it was used as a bridal car.

How cute is that trunk? :)
Aahhh.. a wedding. Thinking of the word invokes a lot of memories from our own journey to the altar. The preparations, bookings, deadlines, payments and fittings. Flowers, gowns, confettis and camera flashes. *grin*

And look what we have here! A few seconds after the we spotted the vintage ride, a sleek, black and HUGE Hummer Jeep followed the vehicle queue.

Now that vintage and modern at the same time! :)
