Myke's mom has generously offered one of the studio rooms of their apartment where Myke and I could stay. The location is a plus since it's here in the Metro so going to and from the office is quite convenient. Though this setup would have me living far from my parents, they had understood that I have to set out on my own.
Back to the topic. As mentioned, our new crib is a studio room so we have to maximize the space by thinking of furnitures that are multi-functional. We got a lot of ideas in the web, especially for the bed. Though it is usually for a kid's bedroom (see inspirations below), Myke and I had decided to have a bunk bed cum dresser cum study nook :)
The room color was my suggestion. I wanted our room to be lively but not too overpowering. A shade that is calming but not boring. We opted not to paint it yellow cos I've read somewhere na nakakagutom daw ang color yellow. Ewan ko lang kung totoo pero mahirap ata ang kain ng kain kung gusto naming magpapapayat :P
I had the idea that I wanted a green room but I had to convince Myke that it is the perfect color for us so I saved some pictures so he could see the overall ambiance of a green and white color combination.
My logic on how I chose the correct shade? Because I plan to put in decors in bright or contrasting colors to make the room more lively. So I wanted to make sure that they will stand out in the room :) Ok ba ang reasoning ko? He he he.
The renovation is about 85% completed already. All we need is to buy the essentials - mattress, refrigerator, stove etc. and we ok to move in. Till then, I have to restrain myself from going impulsive buying whenever I visit the housewares section of Landmark. (Funny though that now, I frequent the housewares section of the department store instead the Ladies' wear. He he he.)
I'm taking pictures of the room as renovation is ongoing. I'll post the before and after pictures once it's all done and ready for occupancy :D
