What triggered this whole "sharing my rant" episode anyway? Well it all happened on my commute home this afternoon...
Since I've moved with hubby, I was spared from contuining to elbow my way thru the maze that is MRT. On times that I had to take public transport, I have to hitch a ride on a bus. So this afternoon at past five, I jump into one of the buses on its usual queue at Makati. Too bad on my (and the other passengers) part, another bus of the same line had immediately pulled up behind us. This was noted by our conductor and told the driver. The next thing I knew, our bus was speeding thru Ayala Ave. I instantly knew that our bus driver was trying to beat the other bus into getting into the next (bus) stop. While we were again on queue on the next bus loading station, the other bus had (unsuccessfully) tried to cut-in in front of the queue. Well, the other bus must have picked up quite a few passengers along the way when it went ahead of us because we caught up with it along Buendia Avenue. Ang naisip ko naman e malamang mag-uunahan naman sila na makarating naman sa terminal (route end) para mauna sila sa pila para sa susunod the biyahe. I guess I wasn't wrong. Because our bus kept its speedy progress and kept its position in the innermost lane. So some of my poor co-passengers who had to get off had to do so in the middle of the highway. Seriously Manong Driver, ikaw kaya ang makipagpatintero sa mga bus, truck at kotse sa kalsada? :(
I was nearing my stop then and to facilitate my exit from the bus, I (absentmindedly) moved up to the seat behind the driver. Good thing though that he had ease out on the gas pedal (we had apparently left the other bus in the dust) but I kept my eyes on my lap instead. Just in case.
So now you know why I wanted to write a rant post. It is because of the drivers out there na walang pakialam sa kalagayan ng mga pasahero nila. Seriously, para akong nag-neck exercise sa loob ng bus para lang makaiwas na tumingin sa pagharabas ng bus sa kalsada. I know that they are also after making money but they should, first and foremost think about the safe transport of their passengers. Nakakainis!
To Manong Driver, thank you still for letting me get home (yes, a wee bit earlier than usual and) in one piece. But next time, ikaw na lang makipagkarera at isugal ang buhay mo. Gusto ko pang magka-anak at maabutan ang magiging apo ko no!
Lovingly yours,
