I honestly didn't know that. I've tried to recycle paper as much as I can since I know that trees have to be cut down to produce them but apparently, I've been ignorant that (online) blogging is causing some harmful effects to our environment. So, I want to support this programme. Having a tree planted for just posting a blog entry regarding this initiative is a fair deal. So here you go and hopefully, you my friends will also spread the word and help in taking steps to take better care of our planet.
I've read about making blogs carbon neutral from a W@W post a few months back. It piqued my curiosity and I wanted to learn more about it. But perhaps due to the wedding preps, I've pushed that post aside and it wasn't until I stumbled upon the logo on a friend's site that it resurfaced in my memory. Thru the Kaufda site, I've learned that "..an average website causes about 0.02g (0,0008oz.) of carbon dioxide for each visit." and "this can mainly be tracked back to the immense energy usage from (mainframe) computers, servers, and their cooling systems." I honestly didn't know that.
