Hey, check out my new banner. Designed by moi :)
Coming up with a design was a bit hard since I wanted something that would somehow show the things I love and would probably be blogging about. My first idea was a photo collage but searching the net for pictures was time consuming. So I opted to just have the subject topics in overlapping text. I think it suits my personality too since it's very simple with a feminine touch but it's a bit chic as well.
Withe temperature in Manila hitting 39 degrees, it was no wonder why I was sweating like a pig when my good friend, Shiela and I scouted Divisoria last Saturday for some
We met up first at the LRT 2 Katipunan station so I could accompany her to my couturier and have her measurements taken (Shiela's my one and only bridesmaid :) ). Ruel also gave me a swatch of champagne cloth that I could give to our Ninangs as color reference for their dresses. Then we had lunch first at Gateway so we could also catch up. As usual, it was a laugh trip especially when Shiela's dishing about her dating adventures. At about past 1 pm, we headed to Divisoria armed with my check list (of things to buy). First off, we passed thru Tutuban mall to check out some ties for our male entourage. When we were still residing in Manila, I used to visit Divisoria to shop for cheap accessories and clothing but I don't venture out to see the rest of the stalls. So I was really impressed with the dresses and gowns I saw at wedding section/stalls at Tutuban. Some are really nice and do not look tacky at all (I'm not sure though on the craftsmanship cos I didn't check the garments up close). It's definitely worth checking out especially if you do not want to splurge on your wedding or your entourage's dresses. Well, we had no luck in our seach for skinny ties. We actually saw some stalls selling ties but I couldn't find those that would pass my.. uhmm.. taste :D
Myke and I went to Manila Cathedral yesterday for our Canonical Interview. We had no idea what will the interview be about but it all went well. The priest just asked us for
information about ourselves, simply counterchecking the data we put in the information sheet we filled-up when we made the reservation for the church. Myke and I had our turns in less than 10 minutes :) Our next schedule will be the Pre-cana seminar on the 8th of May.
One thing that I was clueless about when we started to prep for our wedding was the color motif. In fact, coming up with a roundup of possible color schemes (much less making the decision of choosing one) was one I was dreading. It didn't know how much of a big deal it is before I learned that a color motif (and/or theme) somehow guides you on your decision making later on. And it (again) gives you a sense of uniformity on the overall look/ mood of the event.
A few days ago, I blogged about creating our Save the Date (STD) cards. Since Myke and I cannot decide which one will be our official STD, I made a post at W @W to get their opinions and votes and help us make the decision.
